Amy Li Chuan Chang, Vancouver, Plumber, clay, 36 cm x 16 cm x 19 cm
Amy Li Chuan Chang received a Bachelor of Business in Taiwan prior to immigrating to Canada. By the time she moved to Vancouver, she had worked for the Cloisonné Company for eight years while studying ceramics in a private pottery studio. She returned to school to study art, focusing on ceramics. She received her Diploma of Studio Art from Capilano University in 2003, and her BFA from The Emily Carr University of Art and Design in 2007. Amy has consistently shown in solo and group exhibitions around Vancouver and overseas. Her work has been included in local and international ceramics competitions including the 2018 Salt Spring National Ceramics Competition, the 2019 International Teapot competition, Yie Xin, China, and she was a finalist in the 2020 Ceramics Biennale, Taiwan.
