Dorothy Doherty received her art education from Vancouver School of Art (now Emily Carr) and Capilano University. She holds an MA in Art History (UVic) and a PDP (Education, SFU). She resides in Burnaby, paints at Portside studios in Vancouver, and makes ceramics at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts in Burnaby, BC.
