Terry Ryals graduated from the Vancouver School of Art in the late 60s, studied anthropology and Asian ceramics at UBC, and started his own full time pottery in 1983. He sold through the Gallery of BC Ceramics. He works from a studio on Salt Spring Island and is known for his elegant, minimal forms, and crackle glazes.
