Laurie Rolland graduated with honours from Sheridan College, Ontario, in 1978. She has received several Canada Council grants, exhibition awards, and widespread recognition through her teaching and exhibitions. Her work has been included in exhibitions across North America, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, and Australia, and was included in the Gardiner Museum’s Invitational Earthworks Exhibition in Germany. She was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts in 2004. Laurie Rolland lives in Sechelt, BC.
